Welcome to the South West of Scotland Transport Partnership (SWESTRANS) website.
SWESTRANS is one of seven Regional Transport Partnerships in Scotland and covers an area contiguous within the boundaries of Dumfries and Galloway Council. The Partnership Board consists of five Councillor members and two external members, one from Scottish Enterprise Dumfries and Galloway and one from NHS Dumfries and Galloway.
Key to our future success is the Regional Transport Strategy, which details the exciting challenges ahead for the next 15 years. This was delivered to the Minister for Transport, Tavish Scott MSP on Friday 30th March 2007.
