Transport is vital for economic growth, health, wellbeing, and tackling climate change. With strong local knowledge and bold Regional Transport Strategies, RTPs stand ready to help shape a transport system that meets Scotland’s needs.
The RTP collaborative manifesto calls on the Scottish Government to:
- back the plans – projects are ready to deliver real change across Scotland’s regions
- empower regions – enhanced powers mean better coordination and integration
- invest in communities – reversing bus service decline and improving access
- commit to long-term funding – multi-year settlements to drive lasting progress
With government support, RTPs can deliver national objectives at a regional level and ensure no community is left behind. Together, we can all keep Scotland’s regions moving.
